It’s three weeks before Christmas and your mom is nagging you to text Grandma Carol about what presents you want. You open your phone and tap on the small green icon with a “g” on it – and your digital Christmas list opens before your eyes.
You text Grandma Carol back and tell her to download giftful, the app where she can find all the ideas she’s looking for.
Giftful is an iPhone app that allows you to paste the links to the gifts you’re asking for. Luckily, you can use the app online, even if you don’t have an iPhone. You can create a wishlist, which your whole family can access as long as they all have an account.
Your wishlist includes a picture of each gift and lets you mark it as one of your “most desired” items. Even though some people may have trouble navigating technology, this app is simple to use for everyone.
This new way of finding the perfect present is exponentially growing in popularity, and for good reason. The app is free to use, and extremely convenient for all gift-giving opportunities.
If you’re scrolling through Instagram and suddenly find a necklace that you love, just copy and paste the link to giftful. That makes it possible for your family to buy exactly what you want, on the spot. Even if they can’t buy it at that time, they can claim it for later, letting other family members or friends know that they shouldn’t buy it.
Entire families can make accounts and collectively share their wishlists. But don’t worry, it’s completely anonymous, so you don’t know what’s been “claimed,” or by whom.
While some use the app just for the holidays, giftful has been used for other occasions such as birthdays, weddings and baby showers since it came out in 2017. Next time you don’t know what to get for your friend, convince them to download giftful and add a wishlist.
Not only does giftful solve other people’s gifting conundrums, it also solves yours. Giftful has two other options for the type of list you want: registries and personal lists.
Registries are useful for formal events such as baby showers and weddings. As the owner of the registry, you can download a PDF of your list with a list of who has purchased what after the date of the event. This way you can know who to thank after the occasion.
Personal lists are available for your eyes only. You can use these to keep track of things you want to buy when they go on sale or for your next shopping spree.
Have you ever asked for gifts for Christmas and received something completely opposite? This problem can be easily solved with giftful. By using this app, you can get the items you want and be able to show real enthusiasm when you open them.
